VeganMoFo 2011!

I’m ashamed that I let GLV do its best impression of Rip Van Winkle (for well over a year!), but with VeganMoFo around the corner, I’m tagging along for the foodie frenzy.

For those who haven’t heard, VeganMoFo is short for Vegan Month of Food. In a wonderfully dedicated nerdy effort to blaze the internet with vegan yums, bloggers unite for one month and post about all things related to vegan food.
VeganMoFo was originally created on the Post Punk Kitchen, as an homage toNaNoWriMo. Because we do want to write novels, but sometimes cooking gets in the way. So why not combine them!

The idea is to write as much as you can all month, about vegan food. The blog entries can be about anything food related – your love of tongs, your top secret tofu pressing techniques, the first time your mom cooked vegan for you, vegan options in Timbuktu – you get the idea, right? If not, browse around on some of our round-ups and you’ll catch on fast!

As the world catches on that vegan food really is the best choice for animals (suck it, humane meat!), the planet (bite me, melting ice caps!) and people (piss off, heart disease!) let’s show them what vegan eating is all about.

With a little twist for us Jills-Of-All-Trades, along with my food posts, I will be sharing some fun cruelty-free DIY gifts and shopping treats, printable freebies, and other essentials for preparing for the hectic holiday season. From shopping, crafting, cooking, and baking, to de-stressing and pampering, you’ll be poised and ready for festivities.

If you are interested in participating (whether you’re vegan or not!), simply fill out this little form over at and await the splendor!
